3DS MAX 2024 support

You can now use the latest version of 3ds Max 2024 at RebusFarm.

Autodesk has recently unveiled the latest version of 3ds Max, which comes packed with exciting new features and enhancements. Rendering works with V-Ray 6.1 (61006) and Arnold (Standard version) for now, until more render engines release an update.

About the update.

One of the most notable additions is the new boolean modifier, which allows users to perform boolean operations directly within the modifier stack. The openVDB meshing feature, included in the boolean modifier, offers an alternative method of calculating operations that is often more successful than standard boolean techniques.

Additionally, the array tool has been updated with a new Phyllotaxis distribution technique and Material ID rollout, while a new controller lets animators add multiple Transform controllers to an object as layers of blended animation data.

Other new features include the OCIO color management system, which brings modern color management solutions throughout Max, a new material node that enables users to switch between multiple materials using a numeric index, and an overhauled slate editor that uses QT and offers greater customizability and dockability. The modifier list has also been improved to include a search feature, while the symmetry modifier's default mirror axis has been changed to X to better align with artists' workflows.

3ds Max 2024 ships with Substance 2.4.10 and Arnold 5.6.0.1 and includes faster STL import, improved spline welding, and upgraded retriangulation algorithms for Edit Poly and Editable Poly objects. These updates, along with many more, make 3ds Max 2024 an exciting release for 3D artists.
